Friedrichshafen is very easy to reach by plane, train or car.
The city has its own airport, which is served from Frankfurt, there are regular, direct flights from other cities also. The airport is about three kilometers away from my office and I'll pick you up much.
Arriving by train? Here you can find out the best connection to the city train station Friedrichshafen:
In the station tunnel does not go towards the station, but in the other direction. Look out for the grand staircase just right and then go straight ahead, after the pedestrian crossing begins the Charlotte Street, which becomes the Löwentaler road. Of these branches about 200m after the traffic lights Ailinger Moosweg from the street (or call, then I'll pick you up outside the station).
There are three ways to drive by car to Friedrichshafen:
- On the B31 from Meersburg ago, for example, take the ferry from Constance or coming from the A81 Stuttgart-Singen. Beautiful views of Lake Constance!
- Coming from Ulm (A8) on the B30.
- Coming on the B31 from Lindau ago, for example, from Munich (A96) or from the north (A7). The route is well developed to Friedrichshafen, however (from Ulm) a little further than the B30.

Directions in Friedrichshafen:
The Moosweg is a short way, at the end of our yellow house is clearly visible. Just park in front of the garage.
Coming from Meersburg (B31):
B31 to Friedrichshafen follow. The B31 turns into Friedrichshafen diagonally from the left, continue straight on direction city center / ferry. Follow this road down to the shores of Lake Constance. After the station, turn (left) turn left into the underpass (between a picture and a toy shop through them). After the underpass at the roundabout turn right into Charlotte Street, at the next traffic lights straight on, after about 200 turns left from the (very inconspicuous) Moosweg.
From Ulm (B30):
Follow the B30 to Friedrichshafen. In Friedrichshafen even go straight for about two miles, then turn right towards Meersburg / Ailingen / Bodensee-Gymnasium (left is the Friedrichshafen cinema). Immediately after the railway underpass, turn right and follow the confluence with the Löwentaler street and after few meters turn left into the Moosweg - voila!
From Lindau (B31):
At the first exit Friedrichshafen (Ferry Street). Follow the road until the first stoplight (Esso gas station), turn right here. Turn then straight through the next traffic lights under the underpass, immediately after the railway underpass, turn right, then the confluence with the Löwentaler road and follow a few meters left in the Moosweg.
From the Romanshorner ferry:
Straight over the first two traffic lights, pass under the railway underpass, turn right immediately after the railway underpass, turn right, then the confluence with the Löwentaler road and follow a few meters left in the Moosweg.
